Privacy policy

Sajel helps people and small businesses keep track of credit, orders, invoices and expenses. This policy explains, in plain language, what data we handle and why.

What we collect

  • Your phone number, used to sign you in with a one-time code.
  • Your profile and business details, such as your name, business name, currency, language and country.
  • The records you create: customers, credit entries, orders, invoices, income and expenses.
  • Customer contact details you choose to add, such as a name and phone number.
  • Basic technical data, such as device type and app version, to keep the service working and secure.

How we use it

  • To provide the app: storing and syncing your records across your devices.
  • To send notifications you trigger, such as order updates or invoice links to your customers by SMS or in-app message.
  • To protect accounts, prevent abuse and fix problems.

What we never do

We do not sell your data or your customers' data. We do not use your records for advertising.

Messages to your customers

When you record an order with a customer's phone number and choose to notify them, that customer receives a message with a link. Customers can stop SMS updates at any time from the tracking page.

Public links

Order tracking and invoice links contain a long random token that cannot be guessed. Only people you share a link with can open it, and you can revoke or regenerate a link from the app.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to host our servers, deliver SMS and deliver push notifications (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which receives a device token and the notification text). They process data only on our behalf and under confidentiality obligations.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete records in the app at any time, and you can delete your account and all associated data yourself: in the app (Settings → Delete account) or at sajelapp.com/account/delete. Questions: [email protected].
